During this IN-PERSON CLASS, students learn how to recognize a life-threatening emergency, how to provide basic life support, including CPR, and what to do in case of an airway obstruction or choking. ASHI’s Basic Life Support, BLS course for Healthcare Providers and Professional Rescuers has been approved for training for Emergency Medical Services personnel and is accepted by the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT).
This IN-PERSON CLASS also includes the basic first aid course which will take place after the 60 minutes CPR BLS course. The first aid portion will add an additional 30 minutes for a total of 90 minutes.
The bloodborne pathogens (BBP) course is only 10 minutes long and is typically taught at the end of a BLS or CPR class but we often send the BBP course as an online course to be completed anytime. Upon completion of the video, participants will be emailed their certification.
